Taking it Slow

We are always rushing and running around. Tonight when we didn’t have anything except driving kids around, we opted to stay in town, wait for them, and relax rather than rush into other things.

We walked over to Pealry Baker’s for a drink and something small to eat. I ended up with a Founders Breakfast Stout (on Nitro!) and decided to try their cauliflower flatbread (cauliflower crust, no flour). I now need to try making cauliflower crusts at home, it was wonderful.

We sat there for 2 hours nursing a beer, sometimes talking and sometimes reading a book (or knitting, if you’re Julia!). The restaurant was not busy at all and the bar was very quiet, playing some chill mellow rock like Jack White and Cold War Kids.

It was a pace I really needed tonight.
